How to make a snail race track

1. Find a long, thin box. If you are racing garden snails it only need be about 6cm x 60cm (although if you're short on time make it 30cm) but for giant snails it should be at least 14cm x 1m(ish). If you do not have a box like that, get some thick cardboard and follow this net:

 You could also get a flatish square box, if you are racing several snails.

2. You might want to draw lanes and/or start and finish lines on the floor of your box.

3. Get a clean bin-bag or something similar and line the box with it.

4. If you don't want to draw your start and finish lines you could write start and finish on pieces of ribbon and attach them to the sides of your box, high enough above the floor for the snails to crawl under.
